The Question Guiding My Work:

What helps people truly heal, thrive, and feel at home within themselves?

A life shaped by two cultures, and a question.

I'm a Czech-American therapist who was raised between two cultures, spending half of each year in Prague and half in the United States — New Orleans until age six, then Kalamazoo, Michigan, until sixteen. Growing up this way shaped how I see the world, and how I understand people. I learned early on how to adapt, navigate differences, and find connection across perspectives. I also experienced the challenges of frequent transitions, which deepened my sensitivity to issues of identity, belonging, and emotional grounding.

My interest in understanding the human psyche and finding paths to self-development and healing began early and has remained a constant thread in my life. I've explored it through psychology, philosophy, spirituality, and lived experience — always with the same question in mind: what helps people truly heal, thrive, and feel at home within themselves?

Like many of the clients I work with, I've faced my own challenges, and those experiences continue to inform my work with humility and compassion.

Who I Am, Professionally

I’m an emerging mental health counselor passionate about supporting individuals and couples who are navigating complex mental health and relationship challenges. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and shaped by multiple therapeutic modalities — with a particular focus on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR.

I approach clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect, meeting them where they are to foster insight, resilience, and meaningful connection. I'm committed to lifelong learning and to providing ethical, culturally responsive, strengths-based care.

Training and Path

I completed my undergraduate studies at Anglo-American University in Prague, where I focused on the intersection of psychology and education. My thesis explored how principles of positive psychology can be integrated into educational systems to support well-being and growth.
I then spent four years teaching English in Prague, where I discovered a deep passion for helping people build confidence, develop their voice, and move beyond self-doubt. That path eventually led me back to New Orleans, where I completed my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University and have fully immersed myself in the field of mental health and fell in love with the discipline.

Outside the Therapy Room

I value connection, exploration, and balance. I'm drawn to nature, meaningful relationships, travel and movement practices like yoga and dance, and creative expression such as writing, acting, and singing. These parts of my life help me stay grounded and present — qualities I bring into the therapy room.
I believe that even in a complex and often overwhelming world, growth, healing, and connection are always possible. My role is to support you in finding your way there.
